MOSCOW PUSHKIN DRAMA THEATRE
PHOTOGRAPHIC MONOGRAPH // EDITORIAL DESIGN
A photographic portrait of the Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre by Sasha Gusov, whose work has long explored performance both on stage and behind the scenes. The design is deliberately spare, allowing the intimacy and theatricality of Gusov’s black-and-white photography to carry the book. Images shift between contained compositions and full-bleed spreads, creating a rhythm of distance and immersion.
The monochrome palette continues into the binding. A black-and-white image is printed onto silver paper, recalling the tonal and reflective qualities of traditional photographic prints, and paired with a silver cloth spine and black foil-blocked typography.
