An irreverent edition – part fan object, part feminist flourish, all typographic swagger.

A set of limited-edition postcards designed as event ephemera for a live edition of Literary Friction, hosted in collaboration with Faber Social. Created to extend the irreverent spirit of the podcast into physical form, the design plays with scale, polish and tone. The phrase 'Hardback Bitches' – a tongue-in-cheek offshoot of the show’s title – was hand-rendered in looping script, then enlarged to dominate the composition, behaving more like graphic ornament than headline. The typography sits over a saturated gradient that shifts from violet to fuchsia – a palette drawn from the lurid glamour of 90s teen novels and cheap perfume ads. Printed on coated stock, the finish is slick but not glossy. The result is high-impact but self-aware: somewhere between fan merch, feminist provocation, and playful design object.

Designed to be taken home on the night, the postcards function as keepsakes – small, tactile interventions that extend the voice of the event beyond its moment.​
